According to the requirements of the Commission Regulation (EU) 2016/631 of 14 April 2016 establishing a network code on requirements for grid connection of generators, manufacturers of power generators were able to address the relevant regulatory authority the request to classify their electricity generation module technology as an emerging technology.
After evaluating the application and submitted documents from BDR Thermea Group BV, National Commission for Energy Control and Prices (NCC) decided that the BDR Thermea Group BV module eVita meets the criteria set out in the Regulation and classified generation module eVita as an emerging technology in the Republic of Lithuania.
NCC made a decision based on the coordinated agreement with the regulators of the Baltic States, respectively, the regulators of Latvia and Estonia, which also received the identical application and expressed a common position to classify eVita as the emerging technology in the Latvia and Estonia.
