NCC approved AB „Amber Grid“ report on balancing network code’s interim measures

National Commission for Energy Control and Prices recently approved the AB Amber Grid interim measures report prepared in accordance with European Commission regulation (EU) no 312/2014 of 26 march 2014 establishing a network code on gas balancing of transmission networks (hereinafter – Network Code).

Currently, TSO applies the tolerance interim measure depicted in the Article 50 of the Network Code to the system users, which level is equal to the 5% (during January–April) and 15% (May–September) of the natural gas quantity allocated to the system user during the gas day. TSO’s interim measures report states that TSO are planning to use the same tolerance level in the future but no later than 16th of April 2019 as depicted in the Article 45 (4) of the Network Code. Thus, the interim measure will be terminated in line with the Article 45 (4) of the Network Code which states that the interim measures have to be terminated no later than five years as from the entry into force of the Network Code.
