National
Commission for Energy Control and Prices (NCC) implementing the Commission
Regulation (EU) establishing a guideline on electricity transmission system operation approved
the Common Grid Model Methodology (CGMM) which was developed by EU TSOs in
cooperation with national regulatory authorities.
The CGMM serves
the objective of promoting effective operational conditions of the transmission
network of electricity, contributes to coordinated quality control by
prescribing a common methodology for the preparation of individual grid models
to be merged into the common pan-European grid model. In respect of ensuring
the optimal use of transmission infrastructure, the CGMM establishes a common
methodology which will allow coordinated handling of additional information
related to operational arrangements, such as protection setpoints or system
protection schemes and configuration of substations in order to manage
operational security.
In the near future,
NCC is planning to issue a decision on Common Grid Model Methodology (CGMM) prepared
implementing a guideline on forward capacity allocation, which is currently
being considered by all national regulatory authorities.
