Connection fees from 1st January 2022 are available in Lithuanian.
There are two ways to determine connection to the grid price:
1. Public procurement. This method is applied if increased permissible capacity exceeds 500 kW. In that case vulnerable household consumers pay 20 %, other consumers (household and non-household) – 50 %, producers of electricity – 100 % of contractor's working price. Project preparation fee needs to be paid, when the project is prepared by an operator. Maximal project compensation price is a price, which an operator compensates to the consumer, when the project is prepared by consumer. Also, for project preparation vulnerable household consumers get 80 %, other consumers ( household and non-household) – 50 % discount, when the project is prepared by an operator.
2. Formula and Council approved fees. This method is applied if increased permissible capacity does not exceed 500 kW. Formula is indicated below:
Price = Fee for 1 kW * Increased permissible capacity + Fee for 1 m
* A shortest geometrical distance from a connection point to a consumer's object + Project preparation fee (when the project is prepared by an operator) – Maximal project compensation price (when the project is prepared by consumer)
Connection fees approved by Council (100 %):
I group (PC < 50 kW, no network reconstruction or project needed) | 28,82 | - | - | - |
II group (PC < 100 kW, network reconstruction and project needed) | 83,06
| 34,98 | 572,83 | 572,83 |
III group (100 <= PC <= 500) | 40,68 | 42,66 | 654,79 | 654,79 |
Consumers with PC > 500 | - | - | - | 881,59 |
Consumers with PC > = 1 MW | | | | 1 981,01 |
Vulnerable Household customers pay 20% of the approved connection fee:
I group (PC < 50 kW, no network reconstruction or project needed) | 5,76 | - | - | - |
II group (PC < 100 kW, network reconstruction and project needed) | 16,61 | 7,00 | 114,57 | 458,26 |
III group (100 <= PC <= 500) | 8,14 | 8,53 | 130,96 | 523,83 |
Consumers with PC > 500 | - | - | - | 705,27 |
1 example:
A household consumer's electrical equipment is already connected to the grid and consumer would like to increase permissible capacity by 3 kW. No reconstruction of electrical grid or project is needed. The connection to the grid price for the I group consumer will be calculated as following:
5,76 Eur x 3 kW= 17,28 Eur without VAT
2 example:
A household consumer would like to use (to build) 15 kW of increased permissible capacity. The distance from a consumer's object to a connection to the grid point is 50 meters. The is a need to make a project and build or reconstruct an electrical grid. Consumer decides to prepare the project by himself. The connection to the grid price for the II group consumer will be calculated as following:
16,61 Eur x 15 kW + 7,00 Eur x 50 m – 458,26 Eur= 140,89 Eur without VAT
All other consumers except vulnerable household consumers pay 50% of the approved connection fee:
I group (PC < 50 kW, no network reconstruction or project needed) | 14,41 | - | - | - |
II group (PC < 100 kW, network reconstruction and project needed) | 41,53 | 17,49 | 286,41 | 286,41 |
III group (100 <= PC <= 500) | 20,34 | 21,33 | 327,40 | 327,40 |
Consumers with PC > 500 | - | - | - | 440,80 |
3 example:
A non household consumer would like to use (to build) 200 kW of increased permissible capacity. The distance from a consumer's house to a connection to the grid point is 20 meters. The is a need to make a project and build or reconstruct an electrical grid. The project is prepared by an operator. The connection to the grid price for the III group consumer will be calculated as following:
20,34 Eur x 200 kW + 21,33 Eur x 20 m + 327,40 Eur= 4 822 Eur without VAT
Maximal project compensation price, when the project is prepared by the consumer:
Consumer group | Maximal project compensation, Eur without VAT |
Consumers with PC > = 1 MW | 1 782,91
